A bit about Megan McCallum

You but on your best day, every day. I strive for natural enhancements that will leave people guessing.

I graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2016 with a degree in Dentistry.

My patients were the reason I started to train in aesthetic procedures!

Many were asking me if I offered wrinkle reduction or lip filler. I very quickly began to understand just how unregulated this industry is in the UK and it didn't sit right with me that my lovely patients were unknowingly receiving treatments from non-medical providers who didn't understand the complexity of human anatomy and would be unable to prescribe the appropriate medicines in case of emergency.

I understood I was better placed to further train and put my anatomical knowledge and fine motor skills to good use.

Relatively quickly, I found a passion for aesthetics and continued to train in a number of areas:

During my time at Glasgow University I carried out an elective in a regional maxillofacial unit and was fortunate enough to take part in an exchange programme with Sun Yat Sen University in China which has given me invaluable experience of health care abroad.

​

I completed my BDS with an outreach dental placement in Falkirk and on graduating completed a further training year at a practice in Stepps. I then worked in Bishopton for several years as a general dentist with a special interest in Invisalign, Oral Surgery and Aesthetic treatments.

I made the decision in 2021 to move to providing aesthetic and skincare treatments full time. It was a natural progression for me and I am delighted to now offer you these services from three Glasgow locations: Stepps, Kelvinbridge and Thornliebank.

​

When I joined the West Dental team in Kelvinbridge in early 2023 it felt right to pick up a dental handpiece again and I now have a part-time dental role at this wonderful clinic, too.

​
